'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
