A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.

The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult period, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.

His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term trainer Cervara.

Presently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.

This marks the player's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.

Victory also signifies the Russian has secured 21 victories at 21 various events.

"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.

His counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused some to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was over.

Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.

He recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.

Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to force a third set.

Moutet saved four early break points in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.

Fittingly, he earned the win with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
